Delhi Public School (DPS), Gurgoan is instituted in the memory of an exceptional human being – Smt Mala Jaipuria, who held close to her heart the spreading of value-based education to every corner of the country. The vision to commemorate her memory through a chain of exceptional schools was that of Ravi Jaipuria, the well known industrialist, social worker and educationist and of his wife Dhara Jaipuria, also committed passionately to the cause of quality education. This vision today takes shape through the Delhi Public School Society, which with the dynamism of its Chairman Shri Narendra Kumar is in the process of setting up a chain of institutions that would be models of quality education throughout the length and breadth of India. DPS, Gurgoan is one in this galaxy of schools that has as many as 100 satellite schools across the country, apart from the 9 core schools and its affiliates in Delhi alone.

The DPS Society, carrying on the great DPS tradition, has proved that private enterprise in education can produce the greatest results with no strain on the country's exchequer. DPS Schools wherever they have been set up have produced men and women who are self-reliant, self-confident, versatile, with the courage of conviction and endowed with a spirit of adventure and creativity. The motto of DPS is "Service before self". A motto that is a true reflection of not only the spirit that we instill in the students but the entire ethos of DPS Society. Serving the children of the country by disseminating true value added education, is serving the nation in the true sense of the word, as it is only that which will build a strong, firm, proud India of tomorrow. This selfless service for the welfare of others and for the nation as a whole, is what runs through our entire organisation and the children who pass through the DPS portals emerge enriched and strong, steeped in this same tradition.

School Building and Campus -DPS Gurgoan offers a pollution-free eco-friendly environment with a state-of- the-art infrastructure. The classrooms are airy and spacious, with quality intensive surroundings. The school has been designed keeping every facet of a student’s life in mind.

Library - The school has a well-equipped, spacious library, designed to meet the specific needs of the students. It is stocked with a vast collection of books to suit the most varied interests.

Lab Block - The school is proud of a separate block with lab systems for all science and social science disciplines, equipped with the latest demonstration facilities. There will be a multi media centre and a computer lab, with the latest books, CD ROMs and other learning material for interactive learning.

Activity Block - This block is fully equipped with all the art, craft and music facilities to develop an appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of our country.

Games and Sports – The school has the most modern gymnasium and state-of-the-art sports equipment and facilities. Educational and adventure activities like trekking, mountaineering, rock climbing and cycling form an integral part of school life. Inter-class and inter-house competitions are held in various games and the entire sports culture helps in character and stamina building, competitiveness and team spirit. There is also an airconditioned auditorium and a swimming pool that is heated in winter.

Yoga and Aerobics - The emphasis is on moral and value based education is backed by time tested techniques of meditation, relaxation and yoga to nurture a strong character and well balanced development. There is facility for aerobics for a healthy stress-free body.

Health Care - DPS, Gurgoan has a fully equipped clinic, with a qualified doctor and a specialist who is on call. A health card is maintained for each child and students have regular health check ups in school.

School café – The school has a spacious, airy and well-furnished cafe, where the strictest hygiene standards are maintained. It acts as a learning centre specially for the smaller children, helping them in acquiring traits like making choices, sharing etc.

Transport - The school has complete transport facilities with CNG buses covering all areas of Gurgoan and up to Vasant Kunj in Delhi.
